The production area of the olive oils DO Sierra de Segura includes the following town councils: Arroyo del Ojanco, Beas de Segura, Segura de la Sierra, Benatae, Chiclana de Segura, Génave, Hornos de Segura, La Puerta de Segura, Orcera, Puente de Génave, Santiago-Pontones, Siles, Torres de Albanchez and Villarrodrigo. All these towns are located in the province of Jaén. The olive grove area has about 33,900 hectares which belong to 7,864 farmers inscribed in the Regulatory Council. The average production in this area exceeds the 18 millions of kg of olive oil.
